No Vacation is Complete Without Good Restaurants.
The island has lots of restaurants but we have a favorite. Due to its long hours and friendly service, our favorite is The Lazy Flamingo! There are 2 on Sanibel, our favorite (the bar) is about a mile and a half down the road to Captiva. It is a horseshoe bar with some booths, 2 tvs and its tons of fun. They serve dinner until 9:30 at night allowing you all the sunset time on the beach. The other Lazy Flamingo is more restaurant like and is on Periwinkle near the causeway. The food is the same good food but the atmosphere is restaurant instead of bar. Click here for the Lazy Flamingo website.
| For casual dining on Sanibel and Captiva Islands Matzaluna, an Italian restaurant closer to the causeway. The Sanibel Grill, where Sanibel Captiva Rd. meets Tarpon Bay Rd., Doc Fords which is very close to the condo (at Rabbit Rd.) They serve everything from steak and seafood to your favorite cocktails. |

Ellington's Jazz Bar & Resturaunt, "cuisine, class and some very cool cats". The Old Captiva House, charming, historic, award-winning Old Captiva House is the only fine dining on Captiva Island with a Gulf-front view of America’s most romantic sunset. |
